About The Role
The overall purpose of the Coordinator, Student Life & Leadership is to lead and manage the Student Life team, which runs leadership, social events, orientation, clubs and societies and “Vollies” volunteering programs for all students, across all Victorian campuses of VU and VU Online.
The Coordinator will work with the Student Life team, and wider University to encourage and support students as active partners to deliver programs and events, aimed at developing student’s leadership capabilities, leading to successful employability outcomes.
While this role is based at our Footscray Park campus, there will be frequent travel to other campuses required.
This is a full time position at an HEP 7 classification with the salary range being $97,863 - $105,932 plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week over a fixed-term contract period until May 2026.
About You
You have passion for student inclusion and experience, and a sound understanding of the tertiary education sector.
Essential to this role will be strong organisation skills and the ability to coordinate various programs and events simultaneously as well as supporting events such as Orientation, VU Open Day and a range of social and inclusive events.
Your excellent communication skills will be critical. You will be collaborative and consult with and support students to maximise student involvement and development. Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with and coordinate cross-functional teams at all levels across the institution.
Experience with Symplicity (CareerHub) workflows would be a desirable attribute.
