We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our team of (doctors, allied health professionals and 3 specialists). This role is for 2 days per week.
We are looking for a receptionist to be part of our front of house reception and administration person. In this role you will be responsible for;
- Invoicing patients after treatments (for private billings)
- Answering the phone and booking patients
- Checking patients in – ensuring all paperwork is completed and they are ready to meet their treatment specialist.
- Rebooking patients for follow up appointments
- Confirming patient bookings for the coming day(s)
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and office supplies
Essential Criteria
- An experience of working for a medical practice
- Experience in the use of "best practice" Software , but not essential as training will be provide
- Excellent communication skills and phone manner together with a neat presentation
- Great attitude for teamwork
- Positive mindset and problem-solving skills
- Deal with and have knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Workers Compensation claims and its procedures
- Handle telephone and e-mail inquiries from patients, hospitals and GP's General administration, new patient data entry.
- Multitask and prioritize during peak times whilst maintaining a professional manner
- Manage medical supplies, office stationery, sundries and stock orders
- Answer telephones and take responsibility for follow up actions
- Process payments and invoices from GP's, Private Health providers and patients with the ability to troubleshoot any billing issues

- Local to Warilla/ Shellharbour or can comfortably drive to Warila
- cope with pressure
