Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage cancellations, and maintain an organised appointment calendar.
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries in a professional manner, directing calls as needed.
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
- Process patient payments and manage billing questions with accuracy and professionalism.
- Accurately enter patient information into electronic health records and maintain confidentiality at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist (Best Practice software preferred).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and handling sensitive patient information.
- Knowledge of Medicare processes desirable.
