The Disability, Inclusion and Student Services Branch are seeking applications for a dedicated Manager to lead their team on a permanent full-time basis.
The Manager, Education Justice Initiative will lead, manage and develop a large and diverse team working with at-risk young people appearing in the Children's Court, to assess their education needs and support their reintegration into an appropriate education pathway.
About The Role
As the Manager, Education Justice Initiative, you will:
- Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders and represent the department on multi-agency collaborative panels.
- Lead and oversee delivery of the Education Justice Initiative, including direct case management provision proportionate to team management responsibilities, and allocation of complex or escalated cases.
- Oversee the operation of the Education Justice Initiative with adherence to policy, procedure and legislation, providing advice on managing potential issues in consultation with internal stakeholders, and ensuring the effective management of corporate information, and communication systems and processes within the regional office.
- Strategically manage and triage regional referrals to the Education Justice Initiative and coordinate, analyse, develop, monitor and review regional case management governance and planning activities to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, legislation and policy.
- Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Magistrates, Judges, Youth Justice Services, legal representatives, police, multi-agency collaborative groups and community organisations, providing a departmental perspective and information related to a young person's educational history.
