About The Role
The Student Services Officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of student services to enhance the overall student experience at AE. This is a fixed-term, full-time position (until December 2025) based at our Perth Campus. As the primary point of contact for students, the role involves providing assistance with course orientation, unit enrolments, and course completion. The officer plays a vital role in streamlining processes, maintaining accurate student records, and implementing initiatives to improve student satisfaction and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to students with a focus on diversity and inclusivity, ensuring their needs are met throughout their academic journey.
- Organize and facilitate student orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
- Offer guidance on course enrolment, academic progress, and refer students to appropriate support services such as counselling when needed.
- Assist with the coordination of graduation ceremonies, certificate issuance, and communication of event details in line with academic standards.
- Maintain effective communication with students, academic staff, and team members to foster collaboration and ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with departments to streamline unit enrolment processes and ensure timely publication of results, ensuring compliance with academic policies.
- Manage and update student records accurately in the system, monitor course progress, and collect feedback to improve service delivery and student satisfaction.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in education, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in a role within the education sector, preferably in student services or administration.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in student information systems and data analysis tools.
